Blue Elf Aloe is hugely popular, low-water plant for desert landscapes. Preferred for its tight-clumping nature and resistance to aloe mites, Blue Elf Aloe reaches a mature width of up to 2 feet, making it great for small spaces. It tolerates reflected heat and cold temperatures better than most aloe varieties. In full sun, spikes of orange flowers emerge in early spring and late winter, attracting hummingbirds. Shade grown specimens tend to be greener and shorter than those grown in full sun. Touted as one of the easiest aloes to grow. Looks great in mass plantings.
