Triangleleaf Bursage is a common sight in its native Sonoran Desert, where it serves as a "nursery" of sorts for small seedlings of other native plants, making it essential for revegetation efforts. Named for its triangular shaped gray-green foliage, this evergreen perennial plays an important role in slope stabilization, and is used in restoration projects for its ability to keep soil in place. It tends to keep a small profile (1-2 feet tall and wide), and will reseed via the small burs it produces in the summer months. Very low-maintenance, it does best planted on slopes or natural areas with no irrigation.
