Firecracker Bush was named for its abundance of continous, bright red flowers that eminate from central stalks, appearing almost like small explosions across the plant. Hummingbirds and butterflies love sipping nectar from the long, tubular flowers that appear throughout summer. New growth emerges coppery-red, maturing into lush, bright green. This 'Dwarf Red' variety remains compact, reaching about 3-4' high and wide. In colder climates, Dwarf Red Firecracker Bush will freeze to the ground and return from hardy roots in spring, taking on the same compact form that begins flowering in summer. Does well in containers or as accents along walkways.
