Teurcium majoricum 'Mediterranean Carpet'

Mediterranean Carpet Germander

Description

This hardy ground cover is fairly new to the market, but it’s gaining fast popularity due to its ability to withstand chilly winter temperatures, drought, and excessive heat. Mediterranean Carpet was selected by Civano Growers for its superior flower production and performance in the landscape. It begins producing abundant clusters of tiny, purple, honey-scented flowers in early spring. It stops only for a short time in winter, when temperatures drop near freezing. The silvery-green foliage remains lush year round, spilling gracefully over banks or out of containers.
