This upright and spreading shrub is a great addition to containers and to landscape plantings. It remains evergreen here in the Southwest and will produce beautiful racemes of purple blossoms on its arching stems. The long lasting blossoms are followed by golden yellow fruits which add to the ornamental appeal of this plant. It will take well to pruning and can also be trained into a small tree.
