This drought and heat tolerant perennial features a long bloom period beginning in early summer and lasting through fall. The blossoms appear on trailing stems that grow slightly upward, tipped with clusters of vibrant red flowers with a beautifully contrasting white eye. The blooms are a strong attractant to butterflies which flock to the blanket of color it produces. Homestead Red Verbena makes an outstanding groundcover and looks lovely cascading out of containers.
