Parry's Penstemon is an Arizona native, where its tall spikes of pink flowers brighten the mostly dormant landscapes of late winter and early spring. A favorite of hummingbirds and other pollinators, the 2-4 foot flower stalks are a great backdrop for lower growing perennials. Allow seed pods on spent flower stalks to ripen for a crop of reseeded plants the following year. Parry's Penstemon is exceptionally drought tolerant and requires excellent drainage to perform well in landscapes.
