Star Jasmine is best known for its petite, star-shaped flowers that emit an intoxicating fragrance from spring through summer. This woody perennial is most commonly grown as a vine, trained up posts, walls or trellises, though it can be grown as a groundcover or small, sprawling shrub. In warm areas, it is evergreen, retaining its deep green leaves on wiry dark brown stems. Does well in partial to full shade in low desert, as leaves will sunburn in full sun. Does best with regular watering to keep foliage full.
